Mindfulness training for educators

be. offers restorative curriculum for teachers for stress reduction using mindfulness. These workshops for teachers help them cultivate emotional resilience, reduce stress, deepen compassion and be more present to their students. The workshops can be distributed over a period of time, or can be offered in a retreat setting.

Based on the experiences of people who have been mainstreaming mindfulness in education in international markets, it is most beneficial to start with teachers to mainstream mindfulness in schools.

be. leadership journey

The be. leadership journey is a leadership development afterschool program for students drawing its moral core from mindfulness, and application core from cutting-edge developments in social leadership.

The premium leadership development program builds upon the work of a number of teachers and social visionaries in the fields of mindfulness and social leadership, customized and developed for Karachi’s youth. The process is a beyond-the-classroom offering that requires students to engage with the socio-political realities of this city and country, especially the class fragmentation and gender inequality.

Most of these teachers and organizations we have worked or studied directly with, or have studied their work in depth. They are:
1. Professor Ronald Heifetz, King Hussein Bin Talal Senior Lecturer in Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School of Government
2. Professor Marshall Ganz, Rita E. Hauser Senior Lecturer in Leadership, Organizing, and Civil Society at Harvard Kennedy School of Government
3. Tara Brach, PhD and Jack Kornfield, PhD; senior mindfulness meditation teachers, and co-founders of the Awareness Training Institute (ATI)
4. Eckhart Tolle, senior mindfulness meditation teacher and best selling author of “The Power of Now”
