Book circles

Engaging purposefully in a transformative text can shift the way we look at ourselves and the world.

Our monthly study circles create a space for you to practice mindfulness and contemplation. We choose a book that is widely acclaimed as transformative, and look at our lives through its lens – think of it like a wise friend providing counsel to your life.

The group setting provides structure and brings discipline allowing you to go deeper despite your hectic life. A be. book circle comes together every week for 1.5 hours, which includes a short meditation. All participants complete approximately 40 pages of reading before each meeting.

Lets take an example

Our August book circle is studying the book "A New Earth" and discussing its application to our lives together.

Oprah Winfrey calls the book 'a wake-up call for the entire planet, one reader at a time. It helps us to distance ourselves from our egos . . . and to open ourselves to a higher self. . . . It helps us to stop creating our own suffering and obsessing over the past and what the future might be, and to put ourselves in the now.' Eckhart Tolle is a contemporary spiritual teacher who is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition. In his writing and seminars, he conveys a simple yet profound message with the timeless and uncomplicated clarity of the ancient spiritual masters: There is a way out of suffering and into peace. Tolle travels extensively, taking his teachings throughout the world. (Thank you Amazon for this info!)
